Two Lake County schools have received “Those Who Excel” annual awards from the Illinois State Board of Education, which will recognize the winners at an Oct. 17 banquet in Rosemont.
Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire and Avon School in Grayslake Elementary District 46 were the only Lake County schools recognized for excellence in the newly created school category of the 25th annual awards.
