The 63rd Street Beach, closed all weekend to swimmers, was reopened Monday afternoon after tests showed safe bacteria levels, Chicago Park District officials said.
Because bacteria readings at the beach have been high several times this month, the Park District has been in contact with the Illinois State Department of Health and the state EPA.
No cause has been determined for the problem.
