Two teenage boys were returned to their parents’ custody after police caught them in an alleged vandalism spree early Thursday, police said. The boys, ages 13 and 14, threw a flowerpot through a window of a home on the 2100 block of Swan Lane, police said. The boys then allegedly broke another window of a home on the 2900 block of Lark Lane before pulling wires out of a telephone junction box outside the Church of Christ at 2300 block of Cardinal Drive. An officer stopped them outside the church about 1:20 a.m., police said. Juvenile authorities planned further interviews with the youths, according to police. Total damage attributed to their spree was estimated at about $500, police said.
