It shouldn’t be a surprise that tango is the most passionate of dances. Although tango evolved from an Argentine ritual in the late 1800s, where the dance was a form of combat between men, it was when women entered the fray that the dance become an expression of sensuality. Uruguayan troupe TangoTan’s “Naturalmente Tango” (Naturally Tango) traces the dance’s evolution from seedy cafe entertainment to a respectable pursuit of the cognoscenti. Through Sunday (7 p.m. nightly, with additional shows at 2 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday) at Columbia College’s Getz Theater, 72 E. 11th St. $18-$25. Tango lessons also will be given Sunday; tickets are $50, and space is limited. 312-431-1330.
