Investigators searching the apartment of the black man charged with fatally shooting two whites found anti-white writings in his charred Wilkinsburg, Pa., residence, police said Thursday. Witnesses said the suspect singled out whites during the rampage in which three other white men were critically wounded. Ronald Taylor, 39, surrendered Wednesday following the shootings at his apartment building and at two restaurants and a brief hostage-taking at an office building. Police Lt. John Brennan said investigators found the writings hours after Taylor allegedly set his apartment on fire. “They were just some of his thoughts. It was basically anti-white, anti-Jew,” Brennan said. Brennan said charges under the state’s ethnic intimidation statute probably would be brought against Taylor, who was to be arraigned on charges other than the criminal homicide counts Thursday afternoon.
