The National Funeral Directors Association has pledged to raise $5 million as part of a nationwide effort to build a national World War II memorial in Washington, D.C. A local release of biodegradable, red-white-and-blue balloons is being coordinated by Paul Toon of Toon Funeral Home in Downers Grove. The cost to sponsor a balloon is $10.
