The Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit District 200 school board has approved three contracts totaling more than $550,000 for work at its high schools and middle schools.

The board awarded a $243,420 contract to Chicagoland Cabling Systems to install voice, video and data cabling at Wheaton North High School and Wheaton Warrenville South High School. An $11 million bond issue will pay for the work.

The board also approved a $98,112 contract with Chicagoland Cabling to provide the same types of cabling for the district’s four middle schools. Funding for that project will come from the district’s technology budget.

The board also approved a $209,130 contract with Dubs Corp. to renovate 3,000 square feet at Hubble Middle School for an applied technology shop. The shop, which matches similar spaces at the other three middle schools, will be paid for with tax increment financing funds from Warrenville’s Cantera project and discretionary state funds.
