Detectives are searching for an Addison Township man who drove his car into a Wood Dale police officer Tuesday afternoon in the 400 block of South Park Street in Bensenville, police said. Police said they were trying to arrest Michael Moore, 19, of the 17W300 block of Stone Avenue, near Bensenville, when the officer was struck. The officer was treated for minor injuries at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Felony charges of aggravated battery, aggravated fleeing and eluding and reckless driving were approved Wednesday against Moore, who initially was wanted on charges of obstruction of justice, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, leaving the scene of an accident, and fleeing and eluding, police said.
