Miomir Radovanovich, age 82, beloved husband of late Anna; loving father of Jean-Pierre (Janet) and late JeanClaude; devoted grandfather of Erik, Sara, Jean-Claude, Alexander and Sophia. Founder and owner of the famous “Miomir’s Serbian Club”; editor of the political satire newspaper “Cicak”; fervent anti-communist and a true Serb with a big heart. Miomir will be most remembered, however, for his support of hundreds, if not thousands, of refugees coming to these shores in search of a better life. Miomir identified with their struggle dedicating his life to causes that supported freedom, democracy, and liberty, the ideals he upheld throughout his life. A polished orator and gifted writer, Miomir never wearied of promoting the Serbian cause and human rights everywhere. His many accomplishments included numerous achievements and honors as well as business success. Miomir will always be recognized as a leader in the Serbian community here and abroad. He was loved and respected by countless friends in the USA, Serbia and elsewhere. Our hearts are heavy and we are saddened by this deep loss. His joyful personality, joie de vivre, and passion for his people will be missed and mourned. May his memory be eternal.
