A Bartlett man was ordered jailed without bond Thursday by a DuPage County judge on charges including escape from police, aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle, burglary and criminal damage to property, police said.

Lucas Piotrowski, 18, of the 600 block of Harbor Terrace, was arrested early Wednesday after a car chase that ended in Crystal Lake, police said. He faces charges in Cook, DuPage, McHenry and Kane Counties.

Last week, Bartlett police obtained an arrest warrant for Piotrowski after he escaped detectives Oct. 22 as he was being led from an interview room to the booking area of the Police Department, authorities said.

Authorities said 15 police departments may want to interview Piotrowski.

Bensenville authorities charged Piotrowski with possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary and criminal damage to state-supported property, authorities said. Bartlett police have charged him with escape, auto theft, auto burglary and domestic battery, as well as filing a false police report regarding a car accident in Schaumburg, police said.

More charges were expected, and Piotrowski will appear Friday in DuPage County Circuit Court, authorities said.
