Elizabeth “Betty” Marie Hoeh, nee Hornsby, 86, of Westmont, Illinois, passed away on Jan. 9, 2003. Born on August 24, 1916 in Bridgeboro, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, husband, Earl A. Hoeh Sr.; step-son, Earl A. Hoeh Jr. and his wife Josephina; son-in-law, Russell S. Thomas; and long-time companion, Sylvester Nolan. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Marie Thomas, Sandra Lee Timmermann and husband Edward; and step-son Kenneth Hoeh and wife Dorothy; four grandchildren, Karen Marie Guessford and husband Paul Lee Guessford Sr., Barbara Jo Perlman and husband Bill, Lisa Ann Timmermann, Daniel Timmermann and wife Michelle; nine great-grandchildren, Paul Lee Guessford Jr. and wife Christine, Noah Perlman, Matthew Timmermann, and Megan Timmermann; two great-great granddaughters, Evelyn Guessford and Haley Marie Guessford; and numerous nieces and nephews including Marie Deetjen and husband Jack, and William Ratlieff and wife Mamo. Elizabeth has gone home to be with her maker, but she will be in our hearts forever. She will always be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy in recent years was that she lived long enough to be an honored active member of a five-generation family. The family wishes to thank the physicians and staff at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for their loving care and support during Elizabeth’s final days. Visitation Friday, Jan. 10th 3 to 9 p.m. at the Elliston Funeral Home, First and Grant St., Hinsdale.
