Bond was set Monday for two teenagers and a man charged in the attempted holdup over the weekend of a West Side barbershop, a crime thwarted by an off-duty Chicago police officer.

Judge Colleen Hyland set bond for Joshua Williams, 23, of the 1000 block of Terrace Lake Drive in Aurora at $500,000; Iredis Madison, 16, of the 3100 block of West Douglas Boulevard in Chicago was held on $400,000 bond; and Andrew Collins, 17, of the 1400 block of South Millard Avenue in Chicago was held on $300,000 bond.

Assistant State’s Atty. Lori Rosen said the men entered the shop at 3254 W. Cermak Rd. about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with Collins brandishing a handgun. An off-duty police officer grabbed Madison, Rosen said, then fired three gunshots after Collins refused to drop his gun.
