Sandal season has arrived and with it a need to spruce up your feet. Here are some tips from Maria Salandra, pedicurist to the stars, and Dr. Scholl’s, maker of Pedicure Essentials, a new line of pedicure products available at drug stores:
– To soften and smooth dry rough feet, massage lotion into feet and legs after the shower or a footbath.
– In the shower, use a loofah or an exfoliating foot scrub to smooth away rough dry skin. Slather on a rich cream before toddling off to bed.
– Use a pumice stone to remove callused skin from your feet and toenail area. A Swedish file, which has two different abrasive surfaces, can remove rough and callused skin.
And when your feet are smooth as silk, add a little sass with the Candy Cuff by Footcandy.
The one-size-fits-all toe ring is snag-proof and covers 90 percent of your toe. It’s available in white or yellow 18-karat gold in shiny or buff finish and with or without gems.
Candy Cuff costs $98 to $298 and is available at www.footcandy.com.
