A Zion man was killed early Friday in a hit-and-run accident in the suburb, police said.
A motorist called police after spotting Crawford Moore, 51, of the 2300 block of Gilboa Avenue, in the road around 2:30 a.m., police said.
Moore was lying in the 2700 block of 29th Street. He was taken to St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, where he died at 6:10 a.m., said Lake County Coroner Jim Wipper.
A preliminary autopsy indicated head, chest and abdominal injuries and broken bones, Wipper said.
