An 85-year-old Schaumburg woman was knocked to the ground and robbed Sunday afternoon at a Barrington mall, police said.
The woman was treated for cuts on her fingers and a bruised knee after she was pushed down by a man outside the west exit of the Ice House Mall, 200 Applebee St., at about 2:45 p.m., police said.
The robber grabbed a purse containing about $20, checks and credit cards and ran south, police said.
The robber was described as a white man in his mid-20s with short dark hair, standing about 5 foot 10 and wearing a white T-shirt and black pants, authorities said.
