Joliet Catholic quarterback Brad Bourg’s broken left fibula will sideline him for five weeks and force the 10th-ranked Hilltoppers to make adjustments offensively, starting Friday night at Marist.
John Keirnen, who started on the sophomore level last year, will take over for Bourg.
“Keirnen is more of a drop-back passer, while Brad was like the fourth running back in our double-wing option offense,” said coach Dan Sharp. “We’ll probably go with some play-action stuff.” . . .
