Donald Edward Hansen. His life was a fantastic journey and, in one way or another, he enjoyed every day of it. Dad received the highest honor for a Chicago police officer, the Carter Harrison-Lambert Tree Award in 1960. Later, he changed career paths and became an Allstate Insurance agent. He had the pleasure of a wonderful bride, Dolores, may she rest in peace. He is survived by his sister, Marge; loving chidren, Ed, Glenn, Mike, and Donna; the “out-laws” Carol, Kathy, Cinda and Chad; and three awesome grandsons, Matthew, Ryan and Luke. A host of family and friends made life seem like one continuous party, which will continue with his visitation from 3 to 9 p.m., Monday, January 5 at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence in Norridge.
