TAPESTRY OF SUPPORTERS
Eager to get women to caucus for him, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry belted out “[You Make Me Feel Like] A Natural Woman” along with his friend Carole King on Wednesday evening at a free concert in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The singer-songwriter said she was annoyed by questions of what Kerry would do if he did not become president.
“Dude, there is no plan B,” King said between songs.

MORE CHOW, LESS CHAT
Sen. Joseph Lieberman was using a lunchtime speech at the sparsely populated senior citizen center in Littleton, N.H., to drive home two seemingly polar emotions: disgust and hope.
He said he was outraged by reports that someone had been making calls to undeclared voters in New Hampshire, falsely telling them they couldn’t vote in the Jan. 27 primary because they were not officially affiliated with a party.
Then he switched themes, telling the senior citizens they were the “greatest generation.”
“America is opportunity,” he said. “It’s hope. It’s hard work.”
A woman interrupted the senator. “It’s hungry,” she said.
Lieberman laughed and ended his speech moments later.
