A 42-year-old Maywood man charged with fatally stabbing his older brother during an argument over a clock radio was ordered held on $200,000 bail Wednesday during a bond court hearing in the Maybrook branch of Cook County Circuit Court, authorities said.
Bruce Badger of the 600 block of South 13th Street was charged late Tuesday with the first-degree murder of Ricky Badger, 46, in an altercation early that day between the two men in the basement of their home.
Ricky Badger suffered multiple stab wounds and died at 3:57 a.m. Tuesday in Loyola University Medical Center. Bruce Badger has no previous felony convictions, according to a Cook County state’s attorney spokesman.
Police said both men were unemployed and lived with their parents and sister. The sister called police Tuesday morning to report the stabbing, police said.
