The CTA is seeking public comment Tuesday about making permanent some changes that have been experimental on four bus routes serving the downtown, including two on Wacker Drive. Customer comments are sought on:
The No. 56 Milwaukee route, which now ends at Michigan Avenue and Madison Street instead of Navy Pier to improve schedule reliability.
The No. 124 Navy Pier route, now operating every day through the Loop.
The No. 122 Illinois Center/North Western Express, which now operates on street level instead of on Lower Wacker Drive.
The No. 123 Illinois Center/Union Express, now running on street level instead of Lower Wacker. Also, riders now board on the south side of Jackson Boulevard between Clinton and Canal Streets to ease congestion at Union Station.
The public meeting will be held at
6 p.m. Tuesday in the 7th-floor boardroom of the CTA’s Merchandise Mart headquarters.
