“Strip club, actually. In the restroom. I don’t go to those places very often, but the one time that I did go I was in the restroom of a gentleman’s club. I thought that was kind of funny.”
–Adam Dunn, Cincinnati Reds
(Editor’s note: Dunn signed.)
“I like to eat. And I’ve been asked a few times while I’m eating, and I don’t like to be interrupted when I eat. Been asked in a restaurant before. I don’t get upset because I’m not like that. A lot of times it’s adults, or if it’s not, it’s some adult telling a kid it’s all right to ask. I don’t mind signing for the kids, but when it’s adults, sometimes it gets kind of crazy.”
–Matt LeCroy, Minnesota Twins
“I was at a Burger King, and someone asked me for my autograph while I was in line. I thought that was pretty weird. Maybe in a restaurant or whatever, but at a Burger King when you’re trying to get some fast food to get in and get out, they caught me off guard.”
–Torii Hunter, Minnesota Twins
“I’ve been asked to sign on people’s skin a lot. No obscene places or anything like that. People wanted me to sign on their arms, which was fine with me as long as they’re OK with it.”
–Danny Graves, Cincinnati Reds
“Out to dinner. Somebody will come up and ask you for an autograph when you’re out with your family. You’re trying to enjoy eating out and you get somebody who asks for an autograph is kind of irritating. I say ‘Maybe later, I’m eating right now. Get me when I’m walking out.’ Fans are a big part of the game but sometimes they need to know when’s the right time to ask for an autograph.”
