The newest rage in airbrush suntans is to customize your tan, Lucky magazine reports.
At Mystic Tan salons, you can choose from three levels of color. But pushing the idea further, some salon staffs are apparently sculpting the body in the same way that makeup is used to contour the face.
At Spacio in Chicago (2706 N. Halsted St.), the spraying is done by makeup artists who claim to layer and shade the color to accentuate and shape muscles. A New York salon called Completely Bare says it can reshape the body, including abs and thighs, using tanners infused with so-called anti-cellulite ingredients. At A Head of Our Time in Denver, specialists custom-blend the color. At New York’s Brazil Bronze Glow Bar, you can request contoured cheekbones and abs.
The effects don’t last long. But whatever you do, it’s better than going for the real sun.
