Malaysians keep setting odd records, including the largest number of old people at a circus and the greatest number of heads shampooed in one day at a shopping mall.

But one Malaysian keeps trying to top them all with life-threatening attempts.

Nur Malena Hassan moved into a locked glass box in a shopping mall Saturday. She plans to live in it for 36 consecutive days–with more than 6,000 scorpions, the Mingguan Malaysia newspaper reported.

Nur Malena set a world record in 2001 by living for 30 days with 2,700 of the poisonous arachnids. She was stung seven times, fell unconscious and almost gave up the attempt.

Her record was broken a year later by a woman in Thailand who lived in a glass room for 32 days with 3,400 scorpions.

HELP WANTED: A Decatur, Ala., woman who shoplifted from an adult toy store forgot to remove a crucial piece of evidence from the scene.

She left behind a job application.

After completing the application, she allegedly looked at a few items in the store. When she attempted to leave, the store’s anti-theft alarm went off.

The woman fled after dumping an adult toy from her purse.

ZERO TOLERANCE: A Louisville teacher didn’t make it to the first day of school when she was arrested and charged with drunken driving while on her way to meet with her students.

She returned to class two days later.
