Two men forced their way into a man’s car in the Lakeview neighborhood Tuesday, kept him hostage as they drove for about an hour, then made him lie down in an alley before shooting him in the side of the head, police said.
The man was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center and was in satisfactory condition, said Chicago police spokesman John Mirabelli.
The man was driving in the 3500 block of North Reta Avenue about 6:15 a.m. when two men got into his car, Mirabelli said. In the 2800 block of North Austin Avenue they ordered him out of the car and shot him.
