Organizers of the Amet Film Festival, which will be held for the first time early next year in Gurnee, have no illusions it will ever rival Sundance.
But they’re optimistic they can match the success of the Black Point Film Festival, now in its third year in Lake Geneva, Wis., and quickly gaining a reputation as a quality independent film festival.
The Amet films will be screened at Marcus Cinema.
No date has been set for the festival. But the deadline for entries is Dec. 1. For more information call Hammel at 847-223-0093 or go to the website www.ametfest.org.
