State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash early Monday on Interstate 90 that killed a 20-year-old Harwood Heights woman who was a passenger on the motorcycle.

Michelle Miller, of the 4300 block of Newland Avenue in Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:56 a.m. on the northbound section of the Kennedy Expressway near the Division Street exit, Illinois State Police Trooper Michelle Tufenkjian said.

Police are considering charges against the driver of the motorcycle, Mentor Kadriu of the 600 block of Colonial Avenue in Des Plaines. Kadriu had a blood-alcohol level of .10, above the legal limit, and he could be charged with reckless homicide as well as other traffic offenses, Tufenkjian said.

Kadriu was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Kadriu was wearing a helmet, but Miller was not, Tufenkjian said.

The crash is the third motorcycle fatality on Chicago expressways since Aug. 31, Tufenkjian said. All three of the deceased were not wearing helmets.

MAN SLAIN IN CLUB: A 30-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning inside a nightclub on the Northwest Side, police said.

Chicago police officers responding to a call of shots fired at the Prop House, 1675 N. Elston Ave., found Keith Tiggs shot in the back of the head about 3:05 a.m., police Sgt. Robert Cargie said.

Tiggs was found behind the club’s bar, police said.

Tiggs, of the 2900 block of West Harrison Street, was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Monday determined Tiggs died of the gunshot wound.

NOT-GUILTY PLEA: State Rep. Patricia Bailey pleaded not guilty Monday to three felony counts of election fraud and was released pending a bond hearing next month.

The South Side legislator declined to comment as she left the courtroom at 26th Street and California Avenue to be fingerprinted.

Bailey, who beat back a Democratic primary challenge in March by former Death Row inmate Aaron Patterson, came under investigation by Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan’s office after a Tribune report raised questions about her residency in the 6th District and the truthfulness of her election filings.
