I hope all of the liberal naysayers out there watched the Iraqi elections.

People here in the States traveled hundreds of miles to vote.

People in Iraq risked death to vote.

Men in Iraq went to vote first, making sure the polling places were safe, and returned with the rest of their families.

This is what it’s about.

Yes, weapons of mass destruction were a large part of the reason for being in Iraq, but certainly not the only reason.

Iraqis holding their first free election in 50 years (and partying in the streets), thousands of women not getting raped, tens of thousands of Iraqis not getting tortured and killed. If you don’t think these were worth the effort, I feel sorry for you.

And to the Democratic attack dogs like Barbara Boxer and Robert Byrd, I hope you have sense enough to feel shame for portraying the effort as meaningless because no weapons of mass destruction were found, are intelligent enough to be happy for the Iraqi people, and are American enough to feel proud of our efforts in helping the Iraqi people get to this point.
