– Now that Jennifer Garner is an “A-list” star, will the series “Time of Your Life,” in which she starred in with Jennifer Love Hewitt, ever be released on DVD? –Robin, Indiana.

It’s possible that “Party of Five” spinoff could get a video release eventually, but none is planned yet. In the meantime, you may want to check out the complete DVD set of “Significant Others,” another short-lived Fox show Garner made for the same producers.

– When I was a young boy, there was a series called “Science Fiction Theatre.” The host would run an experiment of some kind. What network was it on? Could it have been on the old DuMont network? –Rodney Voss, Sioux City, Iowa.

Wow … DuMont! That gives a good idea of which television era we’re talking about, although that network had just gone out of business when the science fact-based show began in 1955. It ran in syndication — not as a full network offering, but on local stations — until 1957, and it was one of the earliest series produced by Ivan Tors, later the man behind such shows as “Sea Hunt” and “Flipper.”

-What is the name of the actress who plays Rose on “Two and a Half Men”? What else has she done? –Alan Michels, Ocala, Fla.

She’s Melanie Lynskey, a New Zealand native whose movies have included “Heavenly Creatures,” “The Frighteners,” “Ever After,” “Coyote Ugly,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Abandon” and “Shattered Glass.”
