Michael Phelps won every event he entered in the Finis Counsilman Classic in Indianapolis. Phelps, who won six gold medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics, won the 200-meter individual medley and the 100 freestyle Sunday. He took the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly Friday and the 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle Saturday.
– Gil Morgan and Dana Quigley, the leaders in the clubhouse when rain suspended play, will have to wait until Monday to find out whether they’ll meet in a sudden-death playoff in the Bayer Advantage Classic. The storm in Overland Park, Kan., forced the suspension on Sunday with three players still on the course in the Champions Tour event.
– Homer High School in Bronson, Mich., extended its winning streak to 73 games, a national record for the longest winning streak in high school baseball history.
