Guiseppe “Drew” Kidd, who suffered head injuries in sparring for a fight on Saturday’s undercard at the United Center, remained in critical condition in a medically induced coma at Mt. Sinai Hospital on Thursday.

Kidd’s trainer, George Hernandez, said he was told the boxer, who underwent brain surgery Wednesday, would be kept in a coma for several days before his condition was re-evaluated.

Kidd, 31, is unbeaten in three professional fights.
