Betty A. Dean, nee Nyikos, of Homewood, died Monday, August 22, 2004, born June 11, 1923 in Mishawaka, IN. Beloved wife of the late Harvey N. Dean; loving mother of Jed (Sue) Dean, Nancy (Patrick) Dolan and Tom (Mary Ellen) Dean; cherished grandmother “Guy” of Nolan, Graham, Kevin, Brian, Erin, Amy and Ellen. Mrs. Dean was a 4th grade teacher at Warren Palm Elementary School, District 152 1/2 in Hazel Crest. Member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, Homewood Historical Society and St. Joseph Church.
