Broncos update: Denver has appeared on “Monday Night Football” 14 straight years, the longest current streak in NFL. … Coach Mike Shanahan is 8-3 on MNF and at home vs. Chiefs. … Last week, Denver held the Chargers to only 41 yards of offense in 2nd half. … WR Rod Smith has 95 catches on MNF, most of any active player. . . . Denver’s running game got a boost last week when Ron Dayne subbed for Mike Anderson and ran for 38 yards on the game-winning drive. The offense had been struggling, with Anderson gaining just 49 yards. Denver has rushed for 168 yards in two games.
