Joseph Raymond Ready, Bradenton, FL, born August 31, 1921 in St. Joseph, MO, died September 27, 2005. WWII interrupted his attendance at Nebraska University. During the war he served as an MP in the 5th Division of the Third Army in Europe seeing action in five major engagements that lead to liberation. After the war he returned to school, graduating from the University of Kansas. He worked for 33 years in management for Sears Roebuck & Company in Chicago, retiring in 1980. He is survived his loving wife of 55 years, Agnes K. of Bradenton; four children, Joseph R. Ready of Alexandria, VA, Anne K. Barrow of Bradenton, FL, Mark James Ready of Sanford, FL and Mary Ready Wegh of Deerfield, IL; 10 grandchildren. Services to be held October 4, 2005 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church followed by private interment at Veterans National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of SW Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or Our Lady of the Angels building fund.
