Steppenwolf Films–the new film division of the venerable North Side theater company–has begun its first project, the short film “Kubuku Rides,” which is currently shooting in Chicago. JoNell Kennedy and Brandon Ratcliff, who starred in the summer indie flick “Me and You and Everyone We Know,” are again adopting the roles of mother and child for “Kubuku Rides,” which is being directed by Steppenwolf co-founder Terry Kinney (right).
