Otto Hutar Jr., 87, a retired plant engineer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 in Texas. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Colleyville, TX. Otto was a member of several professional engineering societies, member of Palos Radio Control Models Flying Club of Illinois and Greater Southwest Flying Club of Texas. A lifetime golfer, Otto enjoyed his senior golf group at Woodridge Country Club in Woodridge, IL. Member of Western Fraternal Brothers Organization. Veteran of World War II Army Air Corps. Otto and LaVerne were married for 60 years. Family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Baylor Medical Center Grapevine. Otto was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Sr. and Anna, Jansky, Hutar; and a brother, Miles Hutar. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaVerne; daughter, Karen Birkes and husband, Jerry; grandson, David Hutar Birkes; brother, Laddie Hutar and wife, Patricia; nephew, John Miles Hutar; granddaughter, Jeri (Bennie) Birkes; and good friend, Marilyn Birkes O’Shea.
