A driver was killed when his car hit a light pole early Sunday on the city’s West Side, though his passenger was not seriously hurt, police said. Alexander Palacios, 23, according to the medical examiner’s office, was driving west on Lake Street at about 3 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and hit the light pole in the 4300 block, police said.
