“Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher was injured on the set Tuesday when a lightbulb exploded and glass lodged in her right eye, people.com reports.
Hatcher reportedly was taken to the eye doctor where she was told she had a scratched cornea.
“I … now am wearing a most glamorous eye patch over the right half of my face,” she said. “Now I understand why pirates get so grumpy … it’s kind of uncomfortable.” She estimated she would be back at work in two days and said she did not fault anyone for the accident.
This is the second time a “Housewives” star has been injured while filming; Eva Longoria was taken to the hospital last year after being hit in the head while filming on location at Pasadena City College.
