How to make the public think a booming economy is really not so hot:

– Since no economy is perfect, find a flaw and focus on it. In this case gas prices.

– Make bearish predictions: “A slowdown is seen”; “Some analysts see”; “Consumer confidence could take a big hit.”

– Talk about fear: “People are pretty worried” (What time in history were some people not worried?)

– Make sure you show a picture of a person with a big sourpuss.
