Everyone needs a hobby; Bobby Burg takes time out from playing bass with local indie prog-rockers Make Believe and Joan Of Arc to write, sing and play just about everything in Love Of Everything. His songs are almost painfully intimate, with appealing melodies and sparse, uncomplicated arrangements that make them seem like pages lifted from his journal. However one wishes that Burg had either selected another singer or at least composed his songs with more consciousness of the limits of his voice; his wayward warbling is more off-putting than poignant.
