Richard F. Wollenberg, 87, of Ft. Meyers, FL, formerly of Chicago, passed away on May 29, first child of Stanley and Victoria Wollenberg; and husband of the late Longina. Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Jr. (Mary) and Dennis (Angela); his wife, Ellen; five grandchildren, Jenny, Daniel, Timothy, Jessica and Alyssa; and four great-grandchildren. Richard served in the Air Force as an aircraft navigator and was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He served in the Illinois National Guard until he retired in 1965 at the rank of Major. He was a jeweler, enjoyed outdoor activities and traveled extensively.
