Officials are investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy on Chicago’s North Side.

The infant, Anthony Cook, was pronounced dead shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday in Children’s Memorial Hospital, said a spokesman with the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The child’s home was listed as in the 4600 block of North Clifton Avenue, the spokesman said.

Chicago police said they had no information on the child’s death.

DCFS spokesman Jimmie Whitelow said the agency is investigating. He said DCFS has not had previous contact with the family.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
