Comedian Darrell Hammond (right) does a dead-on impression of Jesse Jackson. That comes with a lot of practice. “I was traveling around the country in my car,” Hammond told Armour & Co. before his scheduled Friday and Saturday shows at the Improv in Schaumburg. “I had an audio cassette deck and I played Jesse tapes … for hours and hours and hours for months.” But Hammond said he’s never actually done the impression for Jackson. “I hope he doesn’t hate me,” the comedian said.
