Jerry Porter was reinstated by the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday after the NFL and the players association agreed to cut his four-game suspension for insubordination in half. “We asked for four weeks. We got two,” coach Art Shell said. “They decided two weeks was enough, so we move on.” Porter was traveling back to Alameda, Calif., and unavailable for comment.

– Indianapolis will keep defensive tackle Montae Reagor on the active roster while he recovers from a head wound he suffered in an automobile accident on his way to Sunday’s game. Reagor had surgery to repair a fracture of the orbital bone around his left eye.

– Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said linebacker Robert Reynolds, who is facing domestic violence charges in Ohio, will not play Sunday against Houston.

– Injury updates: Baltimore QB Steve McNair, coming off a concussion, expects to play against New Orleans. . . . Seattle RB Shaun Alexander is running for the first time since he broke his left foot last month and is expected back next week. . . . Carolina RB DeAngelo Williams practiced for the first time since spraining his right ankle against Cleveland on Oct. 8.
