A United Airlines plane clipped the tail of another United jet Tuesday while taxiing toward a runway at O’Hare International Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
No injuries were reported in the 8:15 a.m. incident.
United Flight 672, a Boeing 737-300 aircraft bound for LaGuardia Airport in New York, was on a taxiway when United Flight 732, an Airbus A320 bound for Washington Dulles International Airport, tried to move behind the Boeing at a right angle, FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro said.
Both planes returned to the terminal, and passengers were moved to other flights, United said.
