Virginia L. Beneke, of Northbrook, Jan. 9, 2008, loving wife of 50 years to Erwin “Tex” Beneke; dear mother of John W. Atkinson III; daughter of the late Brig.
and Mrs. Arthur C. Ainsworth, Salvation Army Retired.
Virginia loved to sing and was a soloist with the Salvation Army Chicago Staff Band, several dance bands in the Lake Geneva area and several local churches.
She was a beautiful, caring, loving person, not only externally but especially internally, with love and compassion.
Visitation Sunday 5 to 8 p.m., with Funeral Service at 7 p.m., at theN.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview, (just S. of Lake Ave. on W. side). Interment private.
