A driver was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash with a school bus carrying college students on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway near Arlington Heights Road.
The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Seventeen people were on the bus, but no one suffered life-threatening injuries.
The car, a Honda, was entering the eastbound side of the highway from the southbound lanes of Arlington Heights when it skidded and was hit by the bus about 1 p.m.
