Will County sheriff’s police used a thermal imaging camera to find a Burbank man hiding in a Homer Glen cornfield last week after a car crash.
Thomas Hanton, 23, of the 8100 block of South Nashville Avenue was charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a stop sign, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest in connection with the early morning crash Jan. 1 at Cedar Road and 151st Street, police said.
Hanton kicked a deputy in the leg and stomach, police said. The camera was supplied by the Homer Township Fire Protection District.
