Richard “Dick” Takas, longtime resident of Richton Park originally of the West Pullman neighborhood of Roseland.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary, nee Collins, in 1998; his parents Charles and Margaret, nee Roberts; sister Marge St. Hilaire and his dog Kelly.

Survived by his special friend Angela Murray, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graduate of University of Illinois and did graduate work in Business and Law at DePaul University.

Advertising copywriter for Kroger and Montgomery Ward Companies.

Retired as a department manager at Pullman Bank and Trust Co. with 27 years of service.

Funeral Mass will be offered at Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 1131 Douglas Ave. (6 blocks west of Western Ave. on Flossmoor Rd.), Flossmoor on Wednesday, August 5 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, IL. For info: Panozzo Bros.
