Two Rockford men are charged with theft after allegedly trying to steal a trailer and riding lawn mower valued at $6,400, from the 400 block of Ray May Drive in unincorporated Joliet.
Police arrested Eugene D. Shields, 43, and Christopher D. Lamb, 48, Aug. 21 in Morris, where they were being detained by Morris police. Sheriff’s police said a neighbor tailed the two from Joliet to Morris, then contacted police.
