Quick look: The Falcons are coming off a big road victory over the 49ers, which re-established Atlanta as an NFC powerhouse.

The Falcons can attack a defense with both the run and pass. Quarterback Matt Ryan is going strong in the second year of his career, completing 66.7percent of his passes. And receiver Roddy White, who gave the Bears problems in the Falcons’ victory last year, has 329 receiving yards.

Michael Turner has not run the ball quite as effectively as he did a year ago, but he scored three touchdowns Sunday. His physical running style could give the Bears’ quick, light defense problems.

The Bears hope to exploit a thin Atlanta defensive line, which was hurt by the loss of first-round pick Peria Jerry to a knee injury. They’ll have to give special attention to pass rusher John Abraham, who is taking a more vocal leadership role and has three sacks.

The Falcons are 9-1 at home under coach Mike Smith.

Key stat: The Falcons have given up more points in the fourth quarter (24) than in any other quarter. The Bears have scored more points in the fourth quarter (35) than in any other.

Key matchup: Bears strong-side linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, in his first game back from a knee sprain, will have a difficult assignment — helping to contain Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez. The former Chiefs Pro Bowler is a down-the-field threat and has caught a ball in 135 straight games.

Early pick: Bears 27, Falcons 26.
